Cougars Refusing to Let Up

Houston has played like a legitimate contender all season and appears to be a serious threat to win the title. They’ll need to keep stacking wins in order to rise into the top-5 of the rankings and claim a 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament. Only one of their three losses thus far has come against an unranked opponent. They will be aiming to avoid another unranked loss against West Virginia.

After destroying Utah, the Cougars breezed past then #12 Kansas and are starting to pull together. The Houston defense has been hard to stop, it’s hard to imagine it slows down here.

The team has defensive strengths across the board, only allowing an average of 55.6 points per game. J’Wan Roberts leads the team in rebounds and will most likely be key for them again.

Mountaineers Looking For a Spark

West Virginia are in need of spark as they build up to March. Javon Small has been a star for the team, and looks the only one who can take this team somewhere.

The Guard leads the team in points, assists and steals. Small will have to show out for the home side to get a result here.

Houston are strong in defence, so the Mountaineers will have to cook up some serious plays to get on top, and hold it.
