Knicks Look To Get Back On Track Against Rockets

The Knicks recently saw their five-game winning streak end with a 128-112 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night.

Despite losing by double digits, the Knicks placed all five starters in double figures. Josh Hart put together a solid outing, finishing with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Jalen Brunson scored 17 points and handed out seven assists. Mikal Bridges added 16 points, and Precious Achiuwa contributed 15 points and 15 rebounds off the bench.

New York Trailed by two points entering the final frame. However, Los Angeles pulled away with a 37-23 scoring advantage in the game’s final 12 minutes.

But the biggest takeaway from this contest was the blockbuster trade that unfolded between the Lakers and Dallas Mavericks.

Los Angeles dealt Anthony Davis and Max Christie to Dallas, getting Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, and Markeiff Morris in return.

Rockets Look To End Two-Game Slide

On the other side of this matchup, the Rockets enter this contest amid a two-game skid, including a 110-98 loss against the Brooklyn Nets.

Jalen Green set the tone for Houston, scoring 29 points on 11-for-24 shooting from the floor. He also tallied three rebounds and two assists.

Dillon Brooks finished with 16 points and nine boards, while Steven Adams added 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Nets held a nine-point edge early in the third quarter. But any hopes Houston had at making a comeback were dashed as Brooklyn went on an 11-2 burst, increasing its lead to 20 points at the 7:30 mark in the period.

This marked the first time Brooklyn posted consecutive victories since November.

Knicks vs Rockets Pick: Houston Gets Third Straight Against New York

New York has won five of its last six games. Also, the team is ranked fourth in scoring, has the second-highest offensive rating, and comes in at the No. 8 spot in points allowed.

Meanwhile, although they have dropped their previous two contests, the Rockets have produced four wins across their last six outings.

Houston is ranked sixth in scoring defense (108.5 PPG) and has the fourth-lowest defensive rating in the association (109.2 Points Per 100 Possessions).

In a battle between a pair of defensive-minded ball clubs, Houston will notch its third straight win over New York in this series.
