Bulls Looking To Make It Four Straight
After a 135-113 setback against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Apr. 8, the Bulls have won each of their last three games, including a 122-102 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
Kevin Huerter guided an offense where five players reached double figures. He led the way with 18 points on 6-for-11 shooting overall and 5-for-7 from beyond the arc.
Chicago’s bench made the most of extended playing time, producing 78 points, led by Talen Horton-Tucker (17 points and six assists) and Patrick Williams (15 points and six rebounds).
Philly led 56-49 at the break. However, Chicago pulled away in the second half, outscoring the home team by a 73-46 margin, including a 37-19 edge in the third quarter.
Heat Ended Their Season With A Loss To Lowly Wizards
Meanwhile, the Heat have dropped two of their previous three games, including a 119-118 defeat at the hands of the Washington Wizards in the season finale.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. set the tone with 41 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists on 68 percent shooting from the floor.
Keshad Johnson and Josh Christopher led the bench unit with 17 points each. Miami led 118-117 in the closing moments but committed a costly turnover with five seconds to play. Bob Carrington banked in the game-winning shot on the ensuing possession as the buzzer expired.
Bulls vs Heat Pick: Who Has The Edge In This Play-In Showdown?
The Bulls have won seven of their last 10 games. Chicago finished with the sixth-highest scoring average but ranked 28th in points allowed, giving up 119.4 points per outing.
On the other hand, the Heat have won six of their previous 10 contests. This group ranked 24th in scoring but was a top-10 squad at the other end of the court.
