One of the games on Monday’s NBA slate features the Denver Nuggets hosting the LA Clippers in Game 2 of a Western Conference playoff series. Which team comes out on top in our Nuggets vs Clippers pick?

Nuggets vs Clippers Game 1 Recap

In the series opener between these ball clubs, the fourth-seeded Nuggets edged the fifth-seeded Clippers 112-110.

Nikola Jokic guided an offense in which four starters reached double figures. He finished with 29 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds.

Aaron Gordon added 25 points and eight rebounds. Although Jamal Murray shot just 35 percent from the floor, he scored 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and handed out seven assists for a Denver team that shot 43.6 percent from the field.

Meanwhile, James Harden led the way for the Clippers. He scored 32 points along with 11 assists and six rebounds on 11-for-22 shooting overall and 4-9 from 3-point range.

Kawhi Leonard contributed 22 points and Ivica Zubac logged 21 points and 13 rebounds, including six on the offensive glass.

In a matchup between two teams that finished with an identical record, it was only fitting that four quarters were not enough to determine the outcome. With the Nuggets nursing a slim lead in the closing seconds of OT, LA still had one last chance to tie or win the game.

Fortunately, Russell Westbrook made a solid defensive play, knocking the inbounds pass off Harden to preserve the win for the home team.
