Bucks-Pacers Game 3 Recap

The Bucks looked somewhat lifeless through the first two games of the series. But facing a 0-2 deficit, Milwaukee responded with a 117-101 win in Game 3.

Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to be a matchup nightmare for the Pacers’ defense. He torched them for 37 points on 14-for-19 shooting from the field. The former league MVP also tallied 12 rebounds and six assists.

Gary Trent also put together a magnificent performance. He added 37 points and four steals on 11-for-16 shooting overall and an outstanding 9-for-12 effort from beyond the arc.

The other three starters produced only 16 points on 6-of-24 shooting from the floor and 2-of-13 from 3-point range.

On the other side of the matchup, Pascal Siakam spearheaded a Pacers’ offense where three starters reached double figures. His final stat line included 28 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Aaron Nesmith finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Tyrese Haliburton added 14 points, 10 dimes, and seven boards.

The Bucks appeared to be in trouble, as the Pacers led 57-47 at the break. However, Milwaukee outscored Indiana 70-44 in the second half, including a 39-18 advantage in the game-changing third quarter.

Bucks vs Pacers Pick: Which Team Emerges Victorious In Game 4 Of This First-Round Matchup?

The Bucks got up off the mat in a dominant Game 3 win. Can they carry that momentum into the next matchup? Here’s a look at a few betting trends for both sides heading into Game 4.

  • The Bucks are 9-2 straight-up (SU) in their last 11 games.
  • Milwaukee has covered the spread five times in its previous six home outings against Indiana.
  • The Pacers are 8-2 in their last 10 matchups against Eastern Conference opponents.
  • Indiana is 2-5 against the spread in its previous seven matchups against the Bucks.

The Bucks had dropped five of their previous six postseason matchups against the Pacers before a solid showing in Game 3. While they look primed for another win, they will need a more balanced attack to even the series.
