What's your favourite UFO event that made you believe in or more convinced about the extra-terrestrial/terrestrial phenomenon? Personally, I find the military secrecy surrounding everything really intriguing, especially whistleblowers like some of the ones that came forward during the 2001 National Press Club (the ones that haven't really made any further appearances anywhere) or Bob Lazar; people who haven't put themselves in a position to benefit from coming forward (as I can tell, anyway). If anything, there was much more scrutiny back then, let alone coming from positions perceived to be of a high rank or prestige, contrary to the UFO topic at the time.

Then again there others like Luis Elizondo who seemingly makes efforts to be in the spotlight only to effectively say, "I don't want the spotlight", or Steven Greer who I believe is legit in his pursuits but has been caught up in the money-making side of it to fund his search which isn't a commentary on it being good or bad - just necessary for him I guess. Not to mention known disinformation agents like Richard Doty who still appears everywhere... All of which muddles legitimate discussion or debate on the topic.

After decades of occasional rabbit-holes and admittedly a lot of assumptions (whether they are educated/grounded in common sense or not), I'm pretty convinced we're not alone and that there's a mix of extra-terrestrial and terrestrial alien activity in the world.

What do you guys believe?

If there’s life out there, it’s not something we could comprehend.

I'm leaning towards either this or also life that may not want to be seen. An interesting factor about the Fermi paradox (in essence, "where are all the aliens?") is that it's usually discounting the very real possibility that a sufficiently advanced civilisation could be aiming to leave less of a trace rather than more, as is our belief with the Kardashev system, so detecting something 'out there' (despite my belief that we're more likely to find something on our Moon or at certain places around the globe like inside Mount Shasta, Antarctica, and mostly subterranean/underwater concentrations) could be unlikely precisely because the civilisations we're looking for have evolved in a way that is harmonious with nature.

Another good example of the Fermi Paradox or Drake equation potentially missing factors is that we presume carbon-based life forms and 'Goldilocks' zones for temperature and presume life will evolve in the be the same conditions as Earth's, even though we've discovered life growing in 0.2pH acid pools of up to 100 degree celsius right here on Earth.

As a civilisation, we're looking for another 'Earth', when we could instead be looking for something truly alien and truly intelligent. There are so many cases that we could follow up in the World but it's almost always hidden behind private military contractors or old Governmental bodies that won't want to admit how many lies they've entangled in the name of secrecy, so I assume they'd prefer secrecy under the guise of protection of military secrets, over admittance of their lies to the public in doing so.
