Gators Gaining Momentum

The Florida Gators are gaining some serious momentum after dominating Georgia 89-59, to make it three wins in a row. The travelling side in this game have only lost two games this season, and both teams are now ranked sides.

The team has generated some serious offence this campaign, and is ranked ninth in points per game. The Gators biggest threat is in the paint, with fourth most rebounds per game in the country. It is here where they controlled the game against Tennessee last time, and they will look to do it again.

If the Gators can control the paint, Guards Walter Clayton Jr and Will Richard can add points from deep and make this one get away from the Vols.

Volunteers Target a Recovery Win

Tennessee have struggled to be consistent since the last time they faced off with the Gators. Since that heavy 73-43 loss, the Vols have lost a further three times, dropping from #1 to #8.

As it stands, the team will have to face a further six ranked teams before March, exercising some demons in this game could be key down the stretch.

This game will most likely come down to who can finish on offence. Tennessee’s defence will attempt to hold strong, as it did against but #1 Auburn, but finishing will be key.

Chaz Lainer leads the team in points and he will need another big game, as will Igor Millicic Jr in the battle for the paint.
