After our earlier look at the Thunder vs Suns, another game on tap from Wednesday night’s NBA slate features the Utah Jazz hosting the Golden State Warriors. Will Utah get a rare win in our Jazz vs Warriors pick?
Utah Seeks Its 12th Win Of The Season
The Jazz are having a season to forget, having dropped 37 of their first 48 games. This includes a 112-111 setback against the Indiana Pacers on Monday night. John Collins tied for team scoring honors with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Jordan Clarkson also scored 21 points off the bench, while Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George chipped in with 16 points each.
Utah held a five-point lead heading into the fourth quarter and a 101-89 advantage with 6:52 left to play. However, Indiana responded with a 23-10 burst down the stretch to escape with a one-point win.
Dubs Shooting For Second Straight Win
Conversely, the Warriors enter this matchup on the heels of a 104-99 victory against the Orlando Magic on Monday.
There wasn’t much scoring firepower for the Dubs, with only two players reaching double figures. Andrew Wiggins paced the team’s offense with 25 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field.
Stephen Curry added 24 points, but the former MVP struggled from the field. He shot 7-for-21 overall and 2-for-12 from 3-point range.
Golden State was beaten on the glass 52-44. Orlando also outscored the Warriors 52-36 in the paint.
But thanks to a 12-point advantage from 3-point range and a 24-5 edge in made free throws, the Warriors came away with a five-point victory despite being outscored by 10 points in the final frame.
Jazz vs Warriors Pick: Golden State Gets Another “W” In This Series
Utah has posted just one victory in its past 10 contests. And unfortunately, this squad ranks near the bottom of the league from a defensive perspective.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are 6-4 in their previous 10 games and are ranked ninth in points allowed (111.4 PPG) and defensive rating (112.3 Points Per 100 Possessions).
Given how poorly the Jazz have played this season, the Warriors have enough talent to notch their eighth straight win in this series.
