One of the games on tap from Sunday night’s NBA slate features the Portland Trail Blazers hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder. Will Portland continue its hot streak in our Trail Blazers vs Thunder pick?

Portland Looks To Stay Hot Against Oklahoma City

The Trail Blazers enter this matchup on the heels of a 102-97 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.

Anfernee Simons scored a team-high 27 points on 50 percent shooting overall and 40 percent from beyond the arc.

He also tallied five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Jerami Grant finished with 22 points and four rebounds. Deni Avdija added 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

Though the Trail Blazers trailed by two points (75-73), they started the final frame with a 7-0 burst, giving them a five-point advantage. Portland never trailed the rest of the way.

Thunder Look To Bounce Back From Another Loss Against Mavericks

On the other side of this matchup, the Thunder saw their two-game winning streak end with a 121-115 setback against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.

Jalen Williams spearheaded the offense with 33 points, seven assists, and four steals.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 31 points and seven assists, while Jaylin Williams contributed 12 points and six boards.

OKC led 62-60 at the break before Dallas took control of the game in the third quarter, with a 31-21 advantage.

Gilgeous-Alexander trimmed a 13-point deficit to eight points with a basket at the end of the quarter.

Unfortunately, it was enough to prevent the Thunder from losing to the Mavs for the third time this season.

Trail Blazers vs Thunder Pick: OKC Cools Off Suddenly-Hot Portland

The Trail Blazers are ranked in the bottom third at both ends of the floor and produced just 13 wins through their first 41 contests.

However, they have reeled off four straight victories following a five-game losing skid.

Meanwhile, despite dropping three of their four matchups against Dallas this season, the Thunder are head and shoulders above the competition in the Western Conference.

In addition to being a top-10 squad offensively, OKC boasts the top-rated defense in the association.

Given those trends, look for the Thunder to get back on track against Portland.
