The history between the two dates back generations, with both of their fathers being embroiled in a heated rivalry throughout the 1990s. However, the original bout was canceled after Benn tested positive for clomifene.

Matchroom Sport questioned the negative test, as it indicated that The Destroyer hadn’t been suspended. This new date was agreed upon in January, and it promises to be a fascinating showdown.

All of the pressure will be on Eubank, who appears to go into every fight at present with questions surrounding his future. The 35-year-old has won 34 of his 37 professional bouts, and he is the current IBO Middleweight champion after beating Kamil Szeremeta by knockout in October 2024.

Despite being the outsider in the betting, Benn brings a perfect record into the bout in April. However, he will likely need to overcome any potential ring rust, as he has not been in a professional fight since beating Peter Dobson by unanimous decision in February 2024.
