Fight Preview
The hotly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois has been set for Wembley Stadium in July. The Brit will be looking to avenge the defeat suffered against the dominant champion in 2023.
However, there was huge controversy surrounding that first bout, as Dubois floored Usyk with a low shot, which was deemed to be a low blow. But, video replays showed that the call was questionable at best.
Since then, Dubois has gotten his career back on track with a string of dominant showings. It could be argued that few were as eye-catching as his fifth-round win over Anthony Joshua at Wembley last year, flooring his compatriot with a blistering shot in one of the most impressive showings that we have seen in the division in many years.
However, Usyk will be the clear favorite, as the Ukrainian star bids to cement his legacy as one of the greatest boxers of all-time. Usyk boasts a perfect 23-0 record, and was last in action in December when dominating his rematch against Tyson Fury to retain the WBA, WBC, WBO, IBO, and The Ring titles.
Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois Pick
Daniel Dubois certainly has the power to hurt Usyk, and that was apparent in the first clash between the stars in Poland. Therefore, his price is somewhat surprising.
Despite that, I’m a huge fan of Usyk, and his Ring IQ could once again come to the fore at Wembley. Therefore, we can see the reigning champion becoming a two-time undisputed king in the heavyweight division.
