Miami hosts Formula 1 action this weekend, as the first of three races in the United States will be staged in Florida. This race has been an exciting addition to the F1 schedule since being added in 2022, but Red Bull and Max Verstappen have dominated it. However, the Dutchman’s winning sequence at the event was ended last year, as Lando Norris recorded a first Grand Prix success.

McLaren has started the season in dominant fashion, as they bid to retain their Constructors’ Championship. However, Oscar Piastri is setting the early pace in the Drivers’ Championship after registering success in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix to follow up his success in Bahrain.

Piastri’s form will increase the pressure on Norris, who was regarded to be the leading hope for Drivers’ Championship glory this season. However, mistakes are costing the Brit, and he has questions to answer when it comes to his credentials at the highest level.

Verstappen is performing admirably in a slower car, taking podium finishes in three of the opening five races this season. The same could also be said of George Russell, who has also achieved three podium finishes already this season.

There will also be questions to answer when it comes to Ferrari this weekend. Charles Leclerc achieved a first podium Grand Prix finish for the team in Saudi Arabia. However, Lewis Hamilton has struggled with his race pace, finishing seventh for the second time in three races last time out.

Haas could be set for another reliable weekend in their home race. Oliver Bearman has surpassed expectations so far this season, achieving points finishes in three of the last four races.
