  • The Grizzlies are 47-32 and have the second-best record in the Southwest Division.
  • Minnesota is 46-33 and has the third-best record in the Northwest Division.
  • These teams last played on Jan. 20, with the Grizzlies narrowly escaping with a 108-106 victory.

One of the games on Thursday’s NBA slate features the Memphis Grizzlies hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves. Will Memphis push its win streak to four games in our Grizzlies vs Timberwolves pick?

Grizzlies Looking To Make It Fourth Straight

Following a four-game losing skid, the Grizzlies have responded with wins in each of their last three games. Their latest triumph includes a 124-100 victory against the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday.

Ja Morant paced the offense with 28 points, eight assists, and five rebounds, while shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc.

Desmond Bane added 19 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Rookie Zach Edey had a monster game, finishing with 17 points and a game-high 19 rebounds.

The game was over early, as Memphis scored the first seven points of the contest. The Grizzlies outscored Charlotte 33-18 in the opening quarter and led comfortably 63-44 at the break en route to an easy 24-point win.

Minnesota Hopes To Bounce Back From Loss To Bucks

Minnesota’s late-season surge ended at five games after they dropped a 110-103 decision to the Milwaukee Bucks. Anthony Edwards led the pack with 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Donte DiVincenzo pumped in 24 points on 9-for-15 shooting from the floor and an impressive 6-for-10 effort from 3-point range. Naz Reid also provided some valuable minutes off the bench, finishing with 17 points in 26 minutes of action.

Minnesota held a 24-point lead in the final frame before the epic collapse unfolded. Milwaukee’s Gary Trent completed a four-point play that keyed a 23-0 run by the home team.

When it was said and done, Milwaukee outscored Minnesota by a 40-13 margin in a game it had no business winning.

Grizzlies vs Timberwolves Pick: Who Has The Edge In This Western Conference Showdown?

The Grizzlies have dropped six of their past 10 games and are ranked 23rd in points allowed. That’s the bad news. The good news is Memphis has the second-best scoring average with 121.7 points per outing.

On the other hand, the Timberwolves have gone 6-4 in their previous 10 contests. This group plays well at both ends of the floor, ranking 10th in offensive efficiency while boasting the fifth-lowest defensive rating in the association.

Minnesota took all four games between these teams last season. Conversely, Memphis has won both matchups this season. This should be an entertaining battle as both teams look to leapfrog the Warriors for the No. 6 spot in the conference playoff race.

In a game that can go in either direction, Memphis looks primed to sweep the season series.
