One of the games on Sunday’s NBA slate features the Orlando Magic hosting the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of a first-round Eastern Conference playoff series. Can Orlando produce another win on its home court in our Magic vs Celtics pick?

Magic vs Celtics Game 3 Recap

After losing Games 1 and 2, the Magic responded with a grind-it-out 95-93 win when these teams played just two days ago.

Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero shouldered most of the scoring load for Orlando. Wagner finished with a team-high 32 points, along with eight assists, seven rebounds, and two steals.

Banchero added 29 points, six rebounds and two steals while knocking down two of his four attempts from 3-point range.

On the other side of the matchup, Jayson Tatum returned to the rotation after missing Game 2 with a bruised wrist. He scored a game-high 36 points on 10-of-22 shooting from the field and 4-for-10 from beyond the arc.

Jaylen Brown finished with 19 points and six boards, while Derrick white chipped in with 16 points and five assists.

Orlando trailed 59-49 at the break but took a three-point lead into the final frame after outscoring Boston 24-11 in the third quarter.

The teams were tied at 91 before Wagner answered with consecutive buckets to give the Magic a 95-91 advantage at the 1:26 mark.

The Celtics pulled within two (95-93) and had the ball with 0.3 seconds left to play. But Derrick White’s inbounds pass was tipped away as time expired, securing a victory for the home team.

Magic vs Celtics Pick: Which Team Emerges Victorious In Game 4 Of This First-Round Matchup?

Orlando’s physical brand of play has visibly frustrated the defending champs. Can the Magic duplicate their effort and pull off a win in the next matchup? Here’s a look at a few betting trends for both sides heading into Game 4.

  • The Magic are 7-3 straight-up (SU) in their last 10 games.
  • Orlando has covered the spread six times in its previous eight contests.
  • The Celtics are 17-3 in their last 20 road contests.
  • Boston is 5-1 against the spread in its previous six Sunday matchups.

Orlando took two of three from Boston during the regular season, but the Celtics hold a 2-1 lead in the series. On the other hand, the men in green were 33-8 on the road during the season but have dropped all three road games against the Magic.

In what will be another physical battle, look for the Celtics to respond accordingly and take a 3-1 lead heading back home.
