Blazers Look To Regroup From Loss Against Utah

After a 112-103 win against the Toronto Raptors on Apr. 3, the Trail Blazers have dropped two of their last three games. Their recent setback includes a 133-126 overtime loss against a Utah Jazz team tied for the league’s worst record.

Shaedon Sharpe put on a spectacular show, scoring 37 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and handing out five assists. He shot 13-for-13 overall and 6-for-12 from 3-point range.

Toumani Camara added 16 points and six rebounds. Matisse Thybulle contributed 12 points and six boards while connecting on five of his six shot attempts.

Portland led 114-112 in the closing seconds of regulation before Kyle Filipowski broke free for a two-handed jam.

His defensive rebound on the next possession forced an overtime session. Filipowski also scored six of his 30 points in the extra frame.

Warriors Hope To Bounce Back From Late-Game Collapse Against Spurs

Golden State has dropped two of its previous three following a five-game win streak, including a heartbreaking 114-111 defeat at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.

Stephen Curry brought his “A” game as the Warriors’ sharpshooter finished with 30 points on 50 percent shooting from the floor. The two-time MVP also tallied eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Jimmy Butler III logged 28 points and seven assists. Draymond also had a solid performance with 13 points, nine boards, and five dimes.

Green hit a pair of free throws to tie the game at 111 with 3.1 seconds left. After committing a foul that could have cost his team the game, Harrison Barnes buried a crushing 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded, helping the Spurs overcome a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter.

Trail Blazers vs Warriors Pick: Who Has The Edge In This Western Conference Showdown?

Portland is 4-6 in its last 10 outings and does not play at an elite level at either end of the floor. This group is ranked 16th in points allowed and 22nd in scoring.

On the other hand, the Warriors have won six of their previous 10 contests. They are ranked 14th in offensive effiency and have the seventh-lowest defensive rating in the association.

This series has been a bit one-sided, with the Dubs winning eight straight times. Given that the No. 6 spot is still up for grabs, look for Golden State to play with a sense of urgency and come out on top when these teams clash on Friday night.
